Miniature end table and coffee table. So after you've got the template, go ahead and cut out all your pieces and then we're going to go ahead and start putting it together and show you how it goes together. All right. Firstly, well put glue in the corner of the bottom shelf. Just a little dots all you need, then we take this. I got ta glue, groove on both sides of the leg, and I put that on there and then tap it nice and tight to fit nice and tight when you get okay.
So if you don't have the ability to cut the grooves out, which you can do using a box knife and then chop it out like a chisel or you can use your miter saw and just cut It out that way from your miter box, but if you don't have that ability, you can leave this square and then you can leave the bottom piece completely square and not notch out the corners so like how this is here. You can just leave these corners on here and then you can just glue it to it like that. They have won the corner.
They have to make it narrower on one both sides, so the legs don't extend out that their top if you're using these measurements because if you glue the legs on there as it stands like this, the legs would stick out past there. So you have to make it both sigh smaller to this dimension. You can leave it one to mention this way, but these two dimensions have to be strong. Okay, so now we're going to glue the other two legs on exactly the same way, So now you want to turn on this side and make sure it's like that, even and then press each one down so that it's flat with the surface.
And then, if you have any splinters in your in your wood, when you cut it or shaving, take that down, there are just a few slight ones on there. But this side looks better said we'll put down facing. It will put glue one on the legs and then a little bit on each one line it up. Let's generate one man, you know how to be exact, but you're not going to see it. When you try to do everybody, get it as close to exact as you can, I know just let it dry and then it will look like this.
We can take the tape off of it. Now we made two end tables and we're going to be doing a coffee table. So that way you have one for each side or one for one part of your sofa any other for your chair or whatever. But this is what it'll look like and again, if you don't have the ability to notch out this or you're, not really sure on how to notch that out, then you can just leave it Square and then you can just make this we're a close to that And then just come in a little bit, if you don't have the capability notching the legs out like this, you can make these a quarter inch and then the quarter inch o leave. The legs come out just like that, where you don't have to make this narrower. This matter work for the fort to fit in there. It would sit like that. The legs would be in about that for all the way around me, because you glue it right to the surface instead of trying to make this narrow work. But that's what it looks like inside and out.
